Carpenter's Kids

Carpenter's Kids is a faith-inspired
program with the aim of helping
Tanzanian AIDS/HIV orphans and other
vulnerable children who are selected
after screening by their parishes. The
aim of the relationship between the
Anglican Diocese of Central Tanganyika
and the Episcopal Diocese of New York
is to ensure that each child receives a
school uniform, a pair of shoes,
breakfast every morning, toiletries, and
adequate school supplies to enable them
to attend school. $60 a year per child,
will provide these items.

Christ Church has made a five year
commitment to this program and
through the generous donations of our
parishioners, sponsors three parishes.

Hudson Link
Hudson Link is a Nonprofit Organization committed to helping the
inmates of Sing Sing Correctional Facility prepare for more constructive
and meaningful lives now, and upon reentering society. In
collaboration with the men at Sing Sing, we accomplish this by giving
them the opportunity to experience the positive effects of learning at
the college level.

The highlight of each year is our graduation ceremony at Sing Sing,
where the men who have worked hard to earn their degrees walk down
the aisle to the applause -- and happy tears -- of their family and friends.

In 2007, Fr. Alexander had the privilege of visiting our linked parishes, and witnessed firsthand how the program is making a difference in the
lives of the children in these parishes. You may obtain more information regarding the Carpenter's Kids program at the website
