On Sunday, November 15 at 4:00 PM, the Parish Choir of Christ Church joins forces with The Modus Singers and Modus Operandi Orchestra (MOO) for a performance of Mozart’s Requiem. One of the most profound and enduring works in the choral repertoire, the Requiem was left unfinished at Mozart’s death in 1791 and completed by his pupil Franz Xaver Süssmayr. From the haunting opening of the Introit to the dramatic power of the Dies Irae, Mozart’s final work encompasses both the terror of judgment and the consolation of eternal rest. The combined choir and orchestra will be led by conductor Justin Bischof. Experience this extraordinary masterpiece in the beautiful setting of Christ Church.
