The Epiphany concludes our celebration of Christmas. It marks the occasion when the Wise Men from the East were led by a great star to seek the newborn King of the Jews and to pay him homage with gifts. This symbolizes that Jesus has come for all people, from every nation and tribe, not just the Jews. The Wise Men fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah, “Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
