"Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and took care of you?" Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me."

 The Gospel commands us to love our neighbor, feed the hungry, and support those who are in need. Here are some opportunities at Christ Church for you to help feed people who are hungry.

Volunteer for Bagged Lunch Program: On the first Thursday of each month our men's group provides bagged lunches at Trinity New Rochelle's daily lunch program. The men meet the Wednesday evening before that first Thursday of each month at 6pm to make 120 sandwiches and pack 60 bagged lunches. Speak to Andy DesRault for more information.

Volunteer for Soup Kitchen Cooking: The Christ Church Women's Connection is seeking volunteers to make food for Community Service Association ( or C.S.A. ) Soup Kitchen of Mount Vernon. We will be cooking for 100 people - so many volunteers are needed. We are signed up to make a meal for the Soup Kitchen on Wednesday, December 3,  2025. Please contact Barbara Zambelli (bzambelli1@aol.com) if you are willing and able to make: Chili (no pork, not spicy please) or Cornbread.

Volunteer for Food Pantry: The Christ Church Daughter's of the King meet the first Friday each month to serve at the Food Pantry at Saint John Paul and Clement in Mount Vernon. Speak to Deacon Chisara for more information.

Donate A Coat: 2025 Coat Drive boxes are located in both the Narthex and the lower entrance (inside the glass doors) for you to easily drop off coats of all sizes from infants to adults. Once a week, any coats we receive will be taken by Outreach Committee members to a registered distribution center. Dropoff hours are 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week until December 31.

Donate to the Food Pantry Delivery: Parishioners are invited to donate any of the following items on or before the FIRST Sunday of each month.
•    Healthy cereal (grocery store size, no Costco or BJs boxes)
•    Shelf-stable milk *
•    14-16oz. cans of  fruit, corn, peas, or beans 
•    6oz. cans of tuna
•    1lb. packages of rice *
•    Pasta and 14-25oz. PLASTIC jars of spaghetti sauce
•    PLEASE - NO odd, old, opened or expired food.

The items that we need may be dropped off anytime in the collection bins located  between the double glass door entrance to the Ranck Building or Sundays in the Outreach Basket in the Narthex. All donations go monthly to the Food Pantry Program at Sts. John, Paul and Clement in Mount Vernon. Financial donations of any size are gratefully are greatly appreciated. Please designate donations for "Outreach".   

Advocate to elected leaders: Call your member of Congress and tell them to immediately authorize SNAP benefits and reimbursement of local food support. You can find information here: https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials
